My favorite card ever.

I made this card for an aunt and uncle who are going through a rough time because he has been diagnosed with a terminal heart condition. He’s really suffering a slow, agonizing and long death in that he was diagnosed over a year ago. It scares me to watch people go through things like this. My own health is not good and I am not afraid of death, but I am terrified of the thought of suffering in the process of dying.

Okay, enough of that! I actually think this is the prettiest card I’ve ever made.  I’ve wanted to use a purple/blue/green color scheme for a while now, but couldn’t find any DP I liked. So, I made my own! I used both Photoshop Elements 8 and Digital Scrapbook Artist to make them and had a lot of fun playing around, though getting the final touches just right aggravated me a bit. In the end, that extra aggravation really wasn’t worth it because most of the paper was covered up by embellishments, but, it was fun while it lasted.

The flowers are made from crepe paper, something I would have never thought I’d do, but I quite like them, especially how they are edged in silver glitter.
